In case you haven’t noticed, I am a firm believer in an eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyle. While I’m not perfect, I have been working towards making more conscious choices in fashion, food, and everyday actions. Because this lifestyle has just started to receive some recognition, I definitely needed some help along the way. I took to Instagram to find accounts and blogs that would inspire me, give me tips, and help me become more educated on the subject. Here are my favorite people that I have learned from, and have helped me with my steps toward sustainability. Continue reading “My Favorite Eco-Blogs”

This trip was the escape I needed. With four months of working through the busiest time of the year and trying to cross things off on an infinite to-do list, I knew I was nearing my breaking point. As someone who recharges through travel, this trip couldn’t come fast enough. And when it was finally time to board my flight to Caye Caulker, I couldn’t have been happier.
Happy March! I know February is the shortest month of the year, but I felt like I blinked, and it was over. When you’re reading this, I will have just gotten back from Belize! I had been looking forward to this trip for months, and an unplug was exactly what I needed. And don’t worry, a Travel Tuesday will be coming with my top picks.
As 2019 has progressed, I’ve been delving into my resolution of sustainability and learning more about eco-products. It’s so interesting to me how many products we can switch out for most sustainable alternatives, and I love how much popularity it’s gaining! While I’ve spent hours looking at ingredients and researching brands to make the best choices for me and the environment, I’ve compiled my favorites, so you don’t have to! Out of all the places I’ve traveled in my life, New Zealand unexpectedly catapulted to my #1 favorite. It was my first vacation to a colder climate, and I couldn’t recommend it enough. It was the adventure of a lifetime, and I may or may not be planning my next trip there already.
Is it just me, or did January feel unusually long? I swear Christmas was six months ago…but anyway with the first month of 2019 over, I’ve decided to show my first monthly plastic consumption chart. Keeping track of my plastic use definitely made me mindful in my choices, and helped me realize where in my life I consume the largest amount of plastic. So I present to you, my life in plastic:
Happy Tuesday! Each month, I will feature a travel destination here on the blog, with highlights of each place as well as travel tips.
This week is a place that is very near and dear to my heart: Fiji, where I lived for six months. When it came to choosing where to study abroad in college, I doubt anyone thinks of Fiji. Most people don’t even know where it is (east of Australia, north of New Zealand. If you hit Hawaii you’ve gone too far haha). Continue reading “Travel Tuesday: Fiji”
Happy New Year!
As 2019 began, I had the chance to reflect on the resolutions I had made for 2018. As I looked down my checklist, I was proud of myself for checking off about 75% of the resolutions I had made. As many of you know, it’s easy to write down resolutions but hard to complete them, so I consider three-quarters complete to be a success. 2018 was a year of transitions for me. From starting my first corporate job to traveling throughout the U.S., I had the opportunity to hone my passions and what I plan to achieve in 2019. Which is why this year I will be taking steps towards a more conscious and sustainable lifestyle! Continue reading “Steps toward Sustainability: My New Year’s Resolutions”
