2020 Skincare Routine: Clean Beauty

A little over a year ago, I began to switch all of my products to a completely clean beauty routine. I did my research and prioritized brands who not only used high quality and clean ingredients, but also who used as little plastic packaging as possible. I’m a creature of habit, so when I find a product or brand that I works for me, I stick with it.

Eco-Conscious Wedding Registry

Throughout my sustainability journey, I have always strived to make conscious and intentional choices when buying items. I have done no-buy months to reduce my carbon footprint and consumerism habits. But that became much more difficult throughout the wedding planning process. The wedding industry is heavily based in consumerism habits, and push that the more items you have before, during, and after your wedding, the better. Thrift Treasures: Activewear

When I look up sustainable activewear, I lust after the beautiful pieces that would surely make me feel like I was living my best life of farmer’s market shopping, green smoothies, and yogi flows (Indigo Luna collections, be still my heart!). Sadly, my entry-level work salary does not give me much room to invest in these pieces, as much as I want to. Continue reading “Thrift Treasures: Activewear”

10 x 10 Challenge: Re-Loving my Wardrobe

As I continue on my journey to sustainability, I’ve had to take a hard look at my shopping habits, particularly in fashion. I started to do my research and discovered the hurtful impacts of fast fashion globally, particularly in impoverished countries. Fast fashion is detrimental from all aspects: economically, environmentally, and ethically. Read more about the issue here. Once I learned about the negative impacts, it was like taking the red pill in The Matrix; I couldn’t be ignorant to my choices as a consumer. 7 Eco-Work Essentials

When is comes to creating a more eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyle, many people do not think about the decisions they make in the workplace. Besides being home, a majority of our time is spent at work. The everyday choices we make in our work environment could have a bigger impact on the planet than we may think. This year I have begun to cultivate a more conscious work lifestyle, from how I get to work to what I eat during lunch. Here are my essentials for a more conscious, less wasteful work life: Continue reading “7 Eco-Work Essentials”

My Favorite Eco-Blogs

In case you haven’t noticed, I am a firm believer in an eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyle. While I’m not perfect, I have been working towards making more conscious choices in fashion, food, and everyday actions. Because this lifestyle has just started to receive some recognition, I definitely needed some help along the way. I took to Instagram to find accounts and blogs that would inspire me, give me tips, and help me become more educated on the subject. Here are my favorite people that I have learned from, and have helped me with my steps toward sustainability. Continue reading “My Favorite Eco-Blogs”

10 Ways You Can Make a Difference On Earth Day

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” -Margaret Mead

Happy Earth Day! One of my favorite things about this holiday is that it connects every person in the world. We all live on the same planet, which sadly many of us tend to forget. Earth Day is not only a day to bring awareness towards environmental protection and activism, but it is also a day to reflect on how far we have come. My Clean Skincare Routine

Check out my video!

Back in college, I used to be an avid makeup junkie. I watched all the beauty YouTube tutorials, bought as many eye shadow palettes as my wallet would allow, and would never leave my dorm room without a full face of makeup on. While I’m thankful for all the tips and tricks I picked up along the way, lately I have been less into makeup and really (I mean really) into skincare. While makeup was therapeutic for my back in the day, I was not doing any favors for my skin. With my skincare routine, I get that self-care time that I crave while also improving my skin instead of covering it up. Continue reading “My Clean Skincare Routine”

Travel Tuesday: Belize

Watch my travel vlog here.

This trip was the escape I needed. With four months of working through the busiest time of the year and trying to cross things off on an infinite to-do list, I knew I was nearing my breaking point. As someone who recharges through travel, this trip couldn’t come fast enough. And when it was finally time to board my flight to Caye Caulker, I couldn’t have been happier.
